I have been the Senior Developer at Moxie Sozo for more than 10 Years. I have driven the technology stack and development process during this time. I have also been heavily involved in client communications, project planning, and business development.

I started in custom CMS development and moved into a custom Wordpress framework. The framework I have built uses a variety of technologies focusing mostly in PHP, AngularJS and more recently Vue.js. It provides our frontend developers with a suite of functions and methodologies to quickly deliver our fully custom designed solutions.

Though our main work is building websites, I have also developed web applications in IONIC, Angular, Vue.js, and Nuxt for static page generation. This style of development is extremely compelling, so I keep up to date with modern technologies and use it to influence our standard development practices.

Created a monthly maintenance program. This allows us to create a continued engagement with clients, keep our framework up to date, and provide fixes and recommendations through an SEO, accessibility and performance audit. The core of the framework is updated independently of any custom code needed for each site, allowing me to drop in place the newly updated framework.

I find the best way to learn and grow is to do. I started this freelance business with zero experience and knowledge. During this time I learned PHP, MySQL, Html, CSS, and JavaScript and as we did in the old days, Flash. Seeing the need and desire to avoid boilerplate, I found CakePHP as a framework to build custom CMS solutions. This greatly expedited time to delivery and exposed me to OOP, which I have embraced heavily.

Also, As a one-person team, I developed and maintained client relationships and billing as well as designed and developed each website.
